Cancellation Policy

1. I agree to download Zoom and keep app updated 2. I agree to have another device nearby to play a backing track 3. I agree to have a stable internet connection 4. I agree to have a notepad/device for note-taking 5. I understand that all lessons must be paid in full 24 hours before scheduled. I may reschedule or cancel my lesson up to 24 hours before. If I cancel within the 24 hour timeframe, I will not be refunded. 6. I understand that if I buy a block of lessons and do not turn up/cancel a lesson on time, this will count as a used lesson. 7. I understand that Betty will always wait in the zoom room for 10 minutes before she leaves. If I enter the zoom room after this 10 minute window, Betty will not be able to carry out the lesson. 8. I understand that If I do not turn up within the 10 minute window, my lesson will not be refunded. 9. I understand that if a student is under the age of 18, a parent or guardian must be nearby. 10. I understand that unless otherwise stated, Betty will assume that I am in good health and am physically and vocally fit enough to attend singing lessons. 11. I understand that although Betty is an experienced voice teacher and vocal health first aider, she is not a medical professional, and that Betty is not responsible for any vocal damage. 12. I understand that it is my responsibility to make sure that I am well enough to attend singing lessons, and that if I feel unwell the day before my lesson, I should cancel/reschedule (24 hour cancellation policy still applies) 13. I understand that any vocal soreness, tiredness or discomfort must be monitored by myself and brought to Betty’s attention. 14. Betty will only collect data that is absolutely necessary and store it securely for an appropriate amount of time, and I can request to have my details changed or amended at anytime. 15. I understand that Betty sometimes takes photographs/videos of lessons, but only with students’ consent and if they are over 18. CANCELLATION POLICY: Please note that in the unusual event that Betty has to cancel with less than 24 hours notice, you will either be offered a refund or to reschedule. HEALTH AND SAFETY: Betty has a full PVG and adheres to the scheme’s policies and procedures. GDPR Policy: Betty is committed to the protection and correct use of the personal data of students. Betty prioritises meeting the standards and stipulations previously set out in the Data Protection Act and those in the GDPR, effective as of 25/05/18.
